Episode 08: Kate Wallace

Join us as we sit down with contemporary artist Kate Wallace in an exclusive ArtAsForm video interview. Melbourne-based Wallace's work is a reflection of her own experiences of place and urban living, using techniques such as scale, cropping, blur, repetition, montage and detail to explore the translation of memory and construction of the past through painting. Informed by photographs taken in wait or transit, her pieces offer an intimate counterpoint to the fast-paced nature of today's world. With a Master of Contemporary Art from the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne and a recipient of a Career Development Grant from the Australia Council for the Arts, Kate's work has been exhibited in galleries across Melbourne. Don't miss this opportunity to gain insight into the mind and process of one of Melbourne's most exciting emerging artists.
