Episode 12: Gabriela Tethalová
Gabriela Těthalová is a Berlin-based visual artist whose paintings are characterized by a fusion of organic shapes, undulating lines, and a bold color palette. Her work often combines rigorous geometric shapes with rapid gestural strokes to create playful and dynamic canvases that challenge the viewer's gaze. Těthalová's art reflects an interest in the relationship between irregularity and unpredictability, as well as a fascination with the interplay of various intertwining plans and permeable surfaces. With a Master's degree in Mathematics from Charles University in Prague and extensive training in painting at several prestigious institutions, Těthalová brings a unique perspective to her work, breaking up the composition into interlocking and overlapping surfaces that disrupt spatial orientation.
